Medtronic is excited to donate MiniMed™ 780 pumps to the Haverim L'Refuah association for type 1 diabetes patients who have exhausted every treatment option for blood sugar balance.
Living with type 1 diabetes requires tremendous effort to manage the disease 24/7. The challenge of maintaining balanced blood sugar levels includes glucose checks, precise calculations of carbohydrate amounts before meals, insulin injections as needed, careful nutrition, and making treatment decisions throughout the day and night.
Medtronic's MiniMed™ 780 system was recently launched in Israel and represents a medical breakthrough in type 1 diabetes management. The system performs automatic corrections every 5 minutes, can predict extreme conditions two hours or more in advance, adjust and learn the required insulin amounts for diabetes patients according to daily changes, and bring them to desired treatment goals in a short time. Thanks to the system, patients are free to focus on their lives and the things that matter to them and let this advanced technology help them maintain balanced blood sugar levels with less effort.
Medtronic will continue to lead advanced technological developments for the benefit of patients, as part of fulfilling its vision: to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.
