Last December, 53-year-old Efrat, a vibrant woman, loving wife, and devoted mother, received the shocking news – glioblastoma, an extremely aggressive brain cancer.
Since then, Efrat has undergone a grueling course of treatments: surgery in January to remove part of the tumor, radiation therapy, and drug therapy. Today, she is coping with the disease using the drug Temodal and the Optune helmet , and is not giving up a precious moment with her family.
But now there is new hope. The professor treating Efrat recommended advanced immunotherapy treatment specifically tailored to her type of tumor – a treatment that could change the course of the disease. Treatment includes 11 doses that are provded only in Germany, in a specialized medical center.
Cost of treatments: 80,000 euros. The cost of the flights and stay in Germany in-between treatments: an additional 30,000 euros.
A sum of 110,000 euros stands between Efrat and her chance for the future.
Efrat wants to continue to be present in her daughter's life, to continue to hug her husband, to see her family grow. Every donation brings her closer to the treatment that can give her precious time – the most important resource in the fight against glioblastoma.
Help us give Efrat the opportunity to continue the life that was cut short by a cruel diagnosis. Time is running out, and hope depends on us.
