A White Coat Instead of a Teacher

Case Description:

Instead of sitting in a circle with a teacher and listening to a story, 3-year-old Noa sits before a doctor’s white coat. Instead of holding crayons or a doll, an IV is inserted in her tiny hand, delivering deadly medications into her body. And then there is 6-year-old Maya, who has long since forgotten what a normal day in kindergarten looks like.

Both girls are currently living through the greatest nightmare of all - aggressive Leukemia. They are caught in a never-ending cycle of grueling treatments and radiation; both have undergone bone marrow transplants. Noa's body rejected the transplant, and the struggle has turned into a daily war for survival. Maya's body has broken down and is left without any immunity. Both are now at the most vulnerable point of their lives: without a functioning immune system, they are exposed to any small infection that could overwhelm their bodies at any moment.

The Enemy That Sneaks in While They Fight
After a bone marrow transplant, especially when the body is weak or fighting rejection, viral infections that a healthy body would easily defeat become deadly. Right now, both girls are battling a violent post-transplant infection. Victory over cancer finally seemed within reach, but the infection now threatens to destroy everything.

There is one specific medication that can keep them alive. It is called PREVYMIS. It is the only shield they have against this lethal infection—the only way to keep them alive until their bodies grow stronger.

But this shield comes with an unimaginable price tag: 23,330 NIS ($7,500) per month, for each girl.

We Cannot Leave Them Alone in This Battle
Every day, heartbreaking stories like these reach our Expensive Medication Department. Broken parents, already collapsing under the financial and emotional burden of the disease, stand helpless before astronomical sums they could never raise alone in the short time they have left.

Noa and Maya are more than just two little girls - they are the faces of dozens of patients who come to us every month. Our division was established exactly for these moments: to ensure that no patient loses their life simply because their family lacks the means to purchase expensive medication. We work around the clock to provide these medications, completely free of charge.

Be Their Shield
We invite you to join our life-saving mission. Your donation will be dedicated to the "Expensive Medication Fund," allowing us to provide Prevymis for these girls and offer an immediate response to other urgent cases that reach our doorstep every day.

Don’t let the infection defeat these children. Help us bring them the medication that will save their lives.
