We reach out to you with an urgent call for help for our dear Moran Arad (40), a woman who has been fighting for her right to live almost as long as she can remember.
Moran’s story is one of relentless courage. At 13, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She endured harsh treatments, emerged victorious, and earned years of quiet. However, at age 32, the disease returned in the form of aggressive metastatic breast cancer (due to the BRCA1 gene).
Over the last eight years, Moran has undergone every possible treatment: complex surgeries (double mastectomy, oophorectomy), radiation, and countless rounds of chemotherapy and biological treatments. She faced them all heroically, with a smile and unwavering faith. But recently, tests have shown that the disease continues to spread.
A Last Hope: A Breakthrough Treatment
The doctors at Assuta Ashdod hospital have determined that standard treatments have been exhausted. Moran’s only remaining hope now is an innovative drug called Dato-DXd (Datopotamab deruxtecan). This is a targeted therapy that can stop the progression of the disease and grant Moran many more years of life.
The Only Barrier: The Cost.
This medication is not included in the national health basket for Moran’s specific condition. The cost is 31,747 NIS ($10,100) per month (one treatment every three weeks).
Without your help, Moran will not be able to receive the treatment that could save her life.
