Haverim L'Refuah receives quite a few inquiries from patients with all types of illnesses who request the organization's assistance in obtaining expensive medicines costing thousands of dollars.
Just recently we received 6 painful inquiries on the same subject.
Shiri, 3 years old, suffers from a virulent type of cancer. Five additional patients appealed to us with additional types of cancer.
The recommended medicine they all were prescripted is called 'Temodal', an expensive medicine that unfortunately is not provided by their health insurance or Health Maintenance Organizations.
The chances of Shiri and the other patients to survive depends on this expensive medicine, but they cannot afford its prohibitive costs: between 1200-2500 NIS per month ($350-$700).
At Haverim l'Refuah, we are committed to helping them get the medicine in any way possible.

To open a fund, we meet the patient or their representative, collect their current and past medical records, review relevant documents regarding treatments and medications, and carefully assess the individual's genuine need for assistance.
We issue tax-deductible receipts for each donation following section 46. If you donated by bank transfer, please email [email protected] with the reference for us to identify the transfer and ensure that you receive the donation receipt.
