49-year-old Monica, a single mother of an Israeli-born little girl, has been in Israel for about 20 years with a work visa but without citizenship. She was diagnosed about two years ago with breast cancer and received treatment.
About a year ago, Monica was hospitalized due to a brain aneurysm and underwent catheterization. This last year, her condition worsened and she needs expensive and private treatment due to her civil status.
The immediate cost required is approximately NIS 60,000 ($16,000) for chemotherapy and private radiation.
Any additional amount will be used for further treatment.
