4-month-old Tom David was born with a heart problem. 24 hours after birth he showed signs of distress. Testing discovered a problem with blood flow to the body's organs.
He underwent tests and surgeries and as a result of a deterioration in his condition, he was connected to Ecmo and must now undergo a heart transplant operation that will save his life.
The operation will be performed at the Mayo Clinic in the USA. Tom is hospitalized in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit and will not be able to be released until he recovers.
The estimated cost of medical expenses is $100,000, in addition tos expenses for staying abroad estimated at $4,600 per month.
