In the last five years, dozens of girls and women who were severely assaulted in childhood and need long-term psychological and psychiatric treatment at high costs have appealed to us for help.
Monthly treatment cost amounts to about NIS 1200 ($300) each!
For five years an anonymous donor provided payment for these treatments but unfortunately, the budget recently ran out. Haverim L'Refua opened a special crowdfund to raise donations for these victims.
The money is transferred directly to the care providers on presentation of an original invoice and a psychological opinion on the need for it.
One such appeal that we received recently and was left unanswered: "I am turning to you with tears and pleas, please help me save my family. For half a year now I have been trying to fight on my own with the severe trauma I experienced but my strength has run out and my family is about to fall apart. Stopping treatment at this stage is a death sentence for me. I am begging you to help me continue the treatment so that I can be a woman who contributes to society and stands on her feet just like you. I just started my life and I have many plans and things I want to do and fulfill. Please don't condemn me to fade away, be a burden on society and die."
We appeal to the public to please give us a chance to save the girls who are fighting so hard to survive.
