In 2021 Tzachi injured his leg while delivering equipment to a family whose son was murdered in an attack in Jerusalem. Due to the injury, CRPS syndrome developed in Tzachi’s left leg, causing terrible pain in his leg. As a result, he cannot walk.
Tzachi's functioning deteriorated. He underwent many treatments, including the implantation of a DRG stimulator in his lower spine. The treatment allowed him to temporarily walk again, but recently his condition deteriorated and he can no longer step on his foot. He suffers from intense pain that has no medical relief in Israel.
Tzachi is faced with two choices: amputate his leg or save it through treatment at a unique medical center in the US that specializes in the treatment of CRPS. The chances of recovery for patients like Tzachi are high and stand at about 84% success.
This is Tzachi's only chance to get back on his feet. The last chance to avoid leg amputation, and other complications of the disease.
The cost of treatment and related expenses is estimated at 540,000 NIS ($148,000).
