Case Description:
My name is Nikita Orlov, 25 years old and about two years ago I was seriously injured in an accident.
I broke 4 vertebrae in my cervical spine and as a result I was left paralyzed in all four limbs.
After a thorough search, my partner and I found a revolutionary surgery in which I was implanted with 2 electrical pacemakers that flow electricity along the spine.
The pacemakers are controlled with a special tablet and require regulation by programmers in order to create movements, as well as 5 hours of physical therapy a day.
In addition, I received 4 stem cell transplants aimed at healing the spine and improving its function.
Thanks to the surgery and the transplantation of the stem cells, I have regained function in my four limbs and I am now able to move my legs and arms.
This technology does not exist in Israel and in order to return to full function I have to continue with the pacemaker's programming and 5 hours of hard physical therapy a day.
This why I'm appealing to you.
With a spinal injury like mine, the chance of returning to full function is almost zero according to the doctors in Israel, but thanks to the surgery, the stem cell transplants and the arduous training, I am on my way to doing the unbelievable and I don't want to stop in the middle.
I hope you can help me.
