Around three months ago, Yaakov suffured a stroke and was admitted to the hospital. During his hospitalization and following tests, it became clear that Yaakov was suffering in addition from kidney tumors. He underwent surgery to remove the kidney and was diagnosed with urinary tract cancer.
Yaakov began receiving treatment with a biological drug called Keytruda and the doctors prescribed another drug called Pedsab.
The cost of the medicine per month is about NIS 30,000 ($8,200).
