Ilan was diagnosed in March 2024 with a cancerous tumor in his brain. He underwent surgery to remove part of the tumor. As part of the tumor was not operable as it was inside the brain tissue, immediately following the surgery, Ilan underwent radiation therapy and chemotherapy. The radiation therapy slightly reduced the tumor, but he requires treatment to stop and remove the cancer from the brain tissue.
A specialist oncologist who accompanies Ilan suggested a treatment in Germany in which a vaccine is created from the tumor itself and the vaccine fights the cancer. The mutation was sent to Germany and also a compatibility test and Ilan received an answer from the hospital that he is fully compatible for treatment.
