At Haverim Le'Refuah, we believe everyone has the right to a full childhood of experiences, friends, and happy moments.Unfortunately, for some children, this right has been taken away by serious illnesses. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, we make every effort to give these children the childhood they deserve.
Around 1,200 children, adolescents, and young adults aged 7-21 enjoy the daily visits of volunteers, fun days, trips, and summer camps in Israel and abroad. For them, it means more than you can imagine!
All the dedicated volunteers and medical professionals join forces to help children forget about their illness, at least for a few hours, and allow them to experience a normal childhood. The regular visits of the volunteers from the Department in hospital wards not only lift the spirits of the children but also provide parents with some much-needed rest.
The joy of life and a positive mood give children internal strength to continue fighting their illnesses, and that's all we can ask of them.
