Eitan and Elikim - We are waiting for you at home
Eitan Mor and Elyakim Liebman were security guards at the infamous party in Reim, where they were kidnapped by Hamas terrorists.
These childhood friends volunteered together at Haverim L'Refuah. These two young men with beautiful souls volunteered with our special children, bringing them light and joy and giving of themselves for the sake of others.
Instead of protecting themselves at the party, they rescued and helped others, until they were taken.
We pray for the speedy return of Elyakim and Eitan and of all those kidnapped and missing.
Captain Uri Shani, May His Memory Be Blessed
Uri fought bravely and prevented a massacre at the Kissufim military outpost. He eliminated 35 terrorists and protected his soldiers and friends at the base with his life. In his short life, Uri managed to influence the lives of many. In his youth, he was active in Kiryat Arba youth organization and volunteered at Haverim L'Refuah.
He loved his country, he loved the Torah, he loved people and he gave his life in the defense of Eretz Israel.
Uri is survived by his wife Miriam and son Roy.
Liad and Moshe Ohion, May Their Memory Be Blessed
Moshe and his son Liad were killed while defending our home.
Moshe served as a security guard in the city of Ofakim. When he and his son received a warning about the infiltration of terrorists into the city, they immediately set out to protect its residents.
Liad and Moshe volunteered with Haverim L'Refuah and dedicated their lives to saving the lives of others. Their loss will be felt.
Second Lieutenant Yohai Dochan, May His Memory Be Blessed
Yohai fell in battle at the Nahal Oz outpost and defended his friends with his life. Yohai served in the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade and volunteered at Haverim L'Refuah among Kiryat Arba youth, guiding summer camps and participating in Shabbat activities, educating the younger generation in the values of helping others. He was 26 years old.
We extend our sincere condolences and grief to our volunteers:
Mrs. Miriam Yehoshua, who lost her grandson Ofek Arzi, May His Memory Be Blessed
Mr. Avi Avital, who lost his brother Gil Avital, May His Memory Be Blessed
Mrs. Liat Ilon, who lost her son Ofek Rabia, May His Memory Be Blessed
